2023 Craft Demonstrators

​Tex Crawford (Hull, Georgia) - Folk art totems, talisman and other folk-art assemblages and tin work, paintings on reclaimed materials.


Rebecca Gilliard (Decatur, Georgia) - Rebecca is one of a long line of Sweetgrass Basket makers originally from Charleston, South Carolina.  She will demonstrate the art of sweetgrass basket weaving that has been passed down from generation to generation.  Each of these unique baskets is both functional and beautiful.

Dylan Keel (Athens, Georgia) – Dylan, of Classic City Vintage Guitars, will be demonstrating how to maintain, care for and restring your guitar, and discuss some does and don’ts of guitar ownership.  Dylan will have restored guitars as well as t-shirts and hats for sale.

Peter Loose (Hull, Georgia) - Folk artist and book illustrator, Peter will show how our Georgia birds, snakes, insects and other woodland animals transform into colorful characters in his paintings.  Peter’s paintings once again grace the stage of the North Georgia Folk Festival.  All of the stage paintings are available for purchase.

Cory Momany (Athens, Georgia) – Cory is a Georgia Journeyman beekeeper and the owner of Flying Pigs honey.  He will demonstrate different aspects of beekeeping and have information on resources to start beekeeping with the local bee clubs.  Award-winning local honey will be for sale. Cory will have a demonstration hive in his booth at the festival.
